  18. This software is an update of Water Rocket Fun 6/96 for Mac.  The software has been improved and enhanced by Seeds Software and ported to Windows with permission from the original author.

It is very easy to use and can be an effective way to introduce students to some of the physics involved and help them understand the factors of rocket performance.  The software determines the maximum ascent of a rocket (apogee) for a selected set of variable values.  One can play around with the variables of pressure, bottle selection, water volume, air drag, and the strength of gravity.  The software includes time plots of energy, thrust, impulse, displacement, velocity, that provide insight as to why rocket performance varies as parameters change.  Plot the kinetic energy of the launches you try and discover why some launches will go higher than others.
